Danish Consumers and their Debit Traditions
With electronic card transactions dating back to 1984, and widespread usage by the early 90s, Denmark was one of the first European nations to develop an affinity for payment cards. However, the Danes' love affair with debit cards, and in particular the Dankort, is somewhat offset by their apparent aversion to credit cards.
