Marketing Operations Manager

Lafferty Ltd are recruiting a Marketing Operations Manager to support sales and marketing activities across a range of high-value research services and events serving the global retail banking and payments industries.

The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for key projects and technology underpinning the Lafferty publishing business including: project-managing a Salesforce account migration, building and maintain a high-performing marketing database; developing Lafferty's online products and marketing capabilities.

This is a new role, reporting to the Marketing Manager, and is an opportunity to join a growing team in a business with a track record of over 30 years of success. The successful candidate will have considerable scope to define Marketing Operations strategy, lead new ways of working, and introduce new technology to drive marketing success. The Marketing Operations Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues in the sales, marketing and operations teams.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical aspects of marketing systems, including CRM (Salesforce), email automation, and web publishing platform
  • Manage a project to merge two existing Salesforce accounts to create one implementation for Lafferty Group
  • Establish and maintain best practice processes for sales lead and marketing campaign management
  • Train and support users of the CRM
  • Support the Marketing Manager in developing new online products and publishing capabilities
  • Monitor, maintain and report on data quality within the marketing database.
  • Develop and report on website and email campaign analytics

To perform in the role of Marketing Operations Manager, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of implementing marketing technology
  • Extensive experience of Salesforce, as a user and administrator
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of working across functions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of best practice in marketing technology including email and social media deployment systems, web analytics, and data protection legislation
  • Experience of direct and digital marketing in a B2B organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A good understanding of data protection legislation, especially in relation to sales & marketing activity.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Eligibility to work in the EU

It would be advantageous for the candidate to have

  • Experience of the business publishing or events industry.
  • Salesforce Administrator qualifications
  • Experience of working with online publishing platforms and Content Management Systems
