We are expanding our Insights and News service and are interested in hearing from individuals who have the relevant experience to join the team as News Editor/Reporter in Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland.

The successful candidate will:

•    lead the development of the company’s Insights, news service and platforms
•    source, edit, proof, write and publish content on Lafferty Group’s various platforms which include print, website, mobile app and social media
•    coordinate and commission news, analysis and feature articles on related subject matter from a range of experts

The ideal candidate will be able to add value (Economist-style) when writing about important news developments and will have a proven track record of delivering exclusives.  Editorial experience in coordinating multiple news channels will also be an asset. A strong work ethic, the ability to meet deadlines and good project management skills are essential.

Previous experience in banking/financial services or a related sector is desirable but not essential.
